Since there is No podcast this week – Lack of time – I have decided to do a little Motivation post – Inspired by – If You will ..

"Thank You for all the crappy days" Roaming around @harbourfrontcentre and looking at so many smiley, happy faces. I thought to myself: why we associate happiness with positive experiences/moments though it's mostly the negative experiences that shape us into a Positive person. Our negative experiences guide us to a positive life. Own your experiences, your story & your journey. I am thankful to every negative experience that made me count my blessings even more & made me realize how lucky I am. What are you thankful for today? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #mommyblogger #instabeauty #hijabilifestyle #beautyblogger #yyzbeauty #lifestyle #lifeinfluencer #muslimah #beautyblog #torontoblogger #ontheblog #cbblogger #torontobeautyblogger #discoverunder100k #igbeauty #beautybloggers #yyzblogger #instamood #happiness #wordsofwisdom #positivity #quotesforlife #spreadlove #igdaily #inspirationalquotes #bepositive #selfworth #sharebeauty #lifestyleblogger #womenstrength

Her Words

“Thank You for all the crappy days”
Roaming around @harbourfrontcentre and looking at so many smiley, happy faces. I thought to myself: why we associate happiness with positive experiences/moments though it’s mostly the negative experiences that shape us into a Positive person. Our negative experiences guide us to a positive life.
Own your experiences, your story & your journey. I am thankful to every negative experience that made me count my blessings even more & made me realize how lucky I am.
What are you thankful for today? ”

When I read Her words yesterday My heart jumped.

I tell her often that she reminds me of a modern Rumi

This is what happened after reading her words…

No one exists in a vacuum it’s just a matter of what you do with that inspiration

This was playing in the background – Metric is one of my favourite bands – the lyrics and guitar ALWAYS get me .

“If you’re still alive
My regrets are few
If my life is mine
What shouldn’t I do?
I get wherever I’m going
I get whatever I need
While my blood’s still flowing
And my heart’s still
Beating like a hammer “

I had taken a photo of this street art – HEART last weekend and Nida’s words brought home why I felt so drawn to this Heart.

See the segments of the heart .

It is Intact yes but it’s made up of pieces .

Are those pieces Special moments in life or Moments that have shaped us because they weren’t so “positive”.

What Shapes Your View on Life?

Is it the Good stuff that has happened to You or is it the moments that were difficult?

Is it a bit of both ?

These words especially from Nida

“though it’s mostly the negative experiences that shape us into a Positive person. Our negative experiences guide us to a positive life.”

I have been feeling a huge amount of change lately.

I’m with Nida in her thinking on this one – I wouldn’t have taken the time to write & share If I wasn’t.

I am a big believer in Gratitude – With each breath – Inhale it – exhale it …. Be it …

Which leads me to this thought on Gratitude – We have all seen it…

Nida’s Thoughts ignited something in me and I will see where they take me.

What a thoughtful post. I do agree that negative experiences do put things into perspective and balance. It’s not realistic to expect everything to work out in your favour, but when they do, it’s important to acknowledge them!
I’m definitely guided by the negative experiences – you know my favourite saying, “it’s a miracle that any of us survived childhood mostly unscathed”. 😛 Just like, how did we get here!

Beautifully said. Growth is sometimes slow and painful but necessary. We come out of such experiences a better person. Every day offers it’s challenges and rewards. We have to take the good with the bad and remember there is beauty all around us sending positive vibes. I’m forever grateful for all I have and all I don’t have.

Love this post Cat! Totally agree – every experience, positive or negative makes you the person you are today. I always hate the question “If you could look back, what would you do differently”; 99% of the time, the answer for me is nothing! All my decisions, good or not, taught me something and got me to where I am right now. I also believe that everything happens for a reason, which can be hard to accept at times, but usually you’ll understand why later on. 🙂

Such a great post! Thank you for this 🙂 I think we all need to be reminded that being and thinking positively will not only enhance our mood and day but will rub off on others around us. It’s the little things… Sometimes just a smile is enough to make someone’s day!

Every day I feel grateful for my family, good health, life experiences… I can make a long list 🙂 It’s important not to take anything for granted and learn from the good and bad!
