When Sugar & Sand Candle Co Reached out to me a few weeks ago – asking me if I wanted to try their hand poured candles … I checked out their beautiful website and said Immediately YES!

I asked Founder Kayla for a little blurb about Herself …I am always curious about HOW and WHY people create their brand.
She wrote me back ….and here is what She told me about Her brand.
I was born and raised in Key West, FL.
All my life I’ve had a passion for the ocean. I grew up going on the boat every weekend to sand bars and snorkeling the islands. I could swim before I could walk ☺️
I went to school to become a nurse which is another passion I have. But I always knew I wanted to do something myself that was creative and included the beauty of living on an island. Candles was a very random business for me to start. One day I saw someone selling all of their candle supplies and I just thought to buy it. I texted my boyfriend one day and said “I bought candle supplies, I’m starting a company” 😂 From there, Sugar & Sand Candle Co. was born. I wanted to incorporate Key West so I started creating candles with shells and sand from the islands. As I continued learning about candles I started to experiment more with “dessert” style candles. The company grew very quickly down here! I quit my side job, my boyfriend quit his job to help, and now we run a company together! Every day new ideas come to mind and we have a huge list of future ideas and creations! We create everything ourselves. Every candle has custom scents, custom labels, and custom designs. We also use 100% all natural soy wax with phthalate free fragrance oils for a non toxic, clean burning candle ☺️
Our dream is to continue creating and expanding our company into a lifestyle brand. The goal is to have something special and unique for everyone. We want to show the world what it’s like living on a beautiful island in the middle of the ocean🤍

As I write this I am burning “Blank Space”.
It’s warm and sweet and if I had to describe this bedazzling brand from Key West, Florida- I would say that the candles have a lovely soft aesthetic from the inside out.
You can feel the love poured into every candle. They are all feel Good candles and give you that cozy, nurturing vibe.
