John Varvatos – Artisan Pure – Fragrance

Hello Hello!

And Happy MARCH!

Today- featured on is an absolutely beautiful fragrance from John Varvatos.

Artisan Pure

As many of you know, I adore writing about Fragrance,

Mainly because there is a definite poetic language to scent.

This is a “For Him” Fragrance but I don’t stick to just “For Her” anymore.

That would be boring!

A little From Varvato’s website

John Varvatos Artisan Pure is a crisp, woody, citrus scent inspired by the lush hills of Xalapa, Mexico and its vast coffee and citrus groves.

Top Notes

Lemon, Bergamot, mandarin, clementine, thyme, marjoram

Petitgrain & Ginger

Base Notes

Woods, Orris Root, Amber & Musk

How Would I describe it…

It’s a green fragrance in my opinion. When I think about Individual Scents: they have a colour.

The notes I smell the most are the citrus ones; which make it fresh and springlike.

It’s an invigorating fragrance and has a “Spring is here” Feel to it.

After wearing it for a bit, the amber notes come up and this gives it a sensual masculinity.

I always view amber as something that is masculine.

Now that Winter is pretty much over, I will be wearing this because it’s crisp and clean.

The Bottle design is so Beautiful and fits right in my hand.

Again there is a sensuality to this.

It’s wrapped so elegantly and reminds me of Boston and being by the shore.

The ropes and sailing.

If you are looking for a fragrance that is crisp and pure… I would encourage you to check it out.

It wears for about 6 hours and that to me is a sign of a beautiful poignant fragrance.

*pr sample included – as always these are my thoughts
