Happy Wednesday Beauties!
What a Fun & Productive Summer! Wowzas!
Let me tell You a secret – I feel the best when I am creating- is that really a secret ? ha!
Nope – It’s really pretty obvious!
Today I have a really fun Feature on a lovely brand I have worked with before!
I custom blended a few fragrances in past posts and I still adore them.
You can read about the other Fragrances
This time I was sent a really adorable back to school kind of kit
They Host a pretty extensive library of scents! If You can think it – they probably have it !
Some seriously creative human beings!!!!
So This time – I received Salt Air, Baby Powder & Wet Garden.
And from those lovely 3 scents I created my own!
My favourite thing about DEMETER
hello creativity!
This Trio is so fantastic together and alone !
I think This is truly my Favourite out of the fragrances I have blended
Base Note – Wet Garden
Wet Garden is Described as
“Not perhaps the original Wet Garden, but . . . very popular! Just as all Dirt is not created equal, so too, all Wet Gardens are not created equal. In the case of our Demeter Wet Garden, time is as important as place. Our Wet Garden takes place at Easter, full of early spring flowers, including young shoots and buds, after a hard April rain. It is the combinations of those flowers, the rain and the oils from the rich spring soil that comprise this fragrance, one of the most complex in the Library, but one that remains accessible, understandable and eminently wearable.”
This is so amazing and reminds me of the pure freshness of spring!
A green scent with a lot of wonder to it.
Just Like Spring.
I used Wet Garden as My base Notte and then added 7 drops of
Baby Powder – one of their most popular scents.
“As clean and as fresh as it gets, just like the proverbial freshly powdered baby’s behind. But nothing ever comes to be exactly as you expect it to.
The Johnson & Johnson Company was a leader in antiseptic medicinal plasters in the 1880’s. In the 1890’s, the Company started shipping Italian talc with their plasters, to reduce irritation. Soon customers were asking for more talc, and shortly thereafter, that scented talc was being sold as baby powder, creating the link in our minds between the scent of baby powder and fresh cleanliness. It is that fresh scent that is the inspiration for Demeter’s Baby Powder.”
Baby Powder is very – Powdery ! So I didn’t need much to give the Garden feel a bit more femininity if that makes sense !
Then I added Just a few Drops of Salt Air.
Demeter’s description is spot on!

So cool!

I can’t imagine what Wet Garden smells like… is it very grassy?
My SO HATES the smell of baby powder! I can’t even get deodorant with that scent.
I’m most intrigued by Salt Air! 😀 I wouldn’t think these scents would work together but very ZEN indeed. Great mixture and artwork as usual!
