Hi beauties !

I’m getting over a mega flu – and wow does getting hit with a big one make you appreciate your own energy and how to conserve it the right way ! I am talking health. I am talking how we expend emotional energy – so on and so forth. This, I suppose goes along with my New Years resolution post which you can read HERE.

After I cleaned up all of my skincare and haircare – I have not even TOUCHED the make up yet ! That will be another weekend project… I realized how much skincare I have but I also realized what I really adore and need during this colder than cold winter.

Of course I like to use what I have but I am always looking for innovative new products.

There are a few things I am still looking for – a great eye cream and a new water based face cream ……

Onto what I have been using this winter.

So let’s get to it – !!!!

Mad Hippie Vitamin C serum – I started using this about a month ago.  I read about it in Allure Magazine and it has a ton of awards. I really really like it!

Martina Gebhardt Aloe vera cream which you can read about HERE. I have been using this one for a while now and I am almost done – eek !

For a nourishing face mask I picked Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight mask – I Just started using this a few days ago and wow wow wow ….. The scent and the way my skin just gulps it down is fantastic.  The manager at Hudson’s bay Yonge + Bloor  Origins gave me a few masks to try and so far – This is my favourite for winter!

Dream Cream by Lush – Again a new product for me.

Perfect for the body right out of the shower. Lightly scented, I’m really enjoying it !

Another product I have had for a while is Mint Julips – It’s become a staple and I haven’t had chapped lips once this winter!

Pure + Simple Collagen Eye & Lip Concentrate 

This is a little roll on that I started to use a little before Christmas time and it’s lovely.

I do need a heavier eye cream and am on the search!

CLARINS  Blue Orchid Face treatment oil has been a YES YES YES product and I am sure You lovelies have seen it floating around my blog since I received it In November. You can read a bit more about it HERE

Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing concentrate is the first thing that I put on after I cleanse. It definitely has strengthened my skin over the past month. Usually at this time in the winter- I would be very very dry and dehydrated. I think this is making a big difference.

THERE IS NO CLEANSER here – Yes I know – This is one thing that I can’t fully decide on so I left it blank!  I’ll get back to You on that!

Shiseido White Lucent Total Brightening serum is FAB.   It has lightened some freckles I didn’t like. I like some of my freckles – NOT ALL ! 🙂  This is something I use right before moisturizer.

Lemony Flutter by Lush is something I just received and is great for my cuticles. I recently had my “fake” nails taken off for the winter. I want to give my nails a break and this smells amazing and is lovely to rub on the whole nail bed.

Pacifica Super Hydrating hand cream in Malibu Lemon is awesome!!!! It has coconut water in it and is super ZESTY – alongside the lush cuticle cream – WOW – citrus Cat !

and Last but not least – A scent from DEMETER  that I used to blend my own perfume with ….

This one is SUNSHINE- This smells like summer – Yes I know – I love summer scents – I especially love them in the dead of winter!

Seriously The Winter list could go on and on!

                  1. It is so cold here this week! I had to return my rental car this morning, and normally I walk home because it is a 15 to 20 minute walk, but had to take the metro because my feet were so cold despite wearing warm socks and winter boots! Brrrr!

  2. Now you have me curious about that Mad Hippie Vitamin C serum! It’s going on my to-try list.
    Have you ever tried Shiseido’s Benefiance Eye Contour Cream? It’s a richer eye cream and my HG for years. I highly recommend! See if you can get a sample of it at a Shiseido counter.
    Lush Lemony Flutter smells SO GOOD! I had a pot of it and would just open it to sniff it!

  4. Love all of it!! Do you think the white Lucent would work on Rosacea? I can suggest a few cleansers. Since you are a Shiseido fan…I LOVE their Pureness Foaming Cleanser and if you want to go much cheaper I also LOVE cosrx Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser. And my Fav eye creams right now are Dr Brandt Needles No More and a cheaper one would be derma e Firming DMAE Eye Cream.

    1. morning xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx i have mild pinkness and it’s wiped it out xxxxxxx i will check it out for rosacea later xxxxxxx ❤ i know it's good for all skin types but will look further for sure …….. Dr. Brandt – do tell xxx review ? xxx yeah i have so many cleansers i love xxxx i just can't pick ONE 🙂 lol
